All About Achondroplasia

TREVOR JAMESON
"I want to use my experience and knowledge to help other people."
As a little child I always wondered why I had this disorder. Kids teased me everyday and I would run home crying to my momma. I asked her, "Why was I born like this, why aren't I like you?" I called it a disease, something that made me inferior to everyone else. I went through phases of suicidal thoughts, and soon developed a defeatist mindset. But as I learned more about my disorder, I began to embrace it. I finished school and went on to become a doctor. I am now sharing my knowledge and experiences to other people. I'd like to educate others about achondroplasia so that they won't have to go through what I did. So they too, can believe in themselves again, and above all, accept who they are.
